VI International Architectural Festival "Eco-Shore" ended September 25.
In 2016, at the invitation of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan the festival was first held on the the Caspian Sea in Baku.
Traditionally the festival program included themed exhibitions, scientific conference themed "Coastal areas of Baku city - Problems and Prospects ", discussions, lectures and presentations, as well as guided tours of the new urban development in Baku.
Traditionally, the culmination of the festival was the presentation of the results of the competition for the best architectural and urban planning solution for the development of the coastal territory. In 2016, co-organizer of the festival The Union of Architects of Azerbaijan invited the participants to a rethinking of the coastal area of Baku and formulated the theme of the competition as "Regeneration of Coastal Marine Industrial Area of Baku City and its Transformation into Public Spaces"
The main object of the competition participants was to suggest an original conceptual solution demonstrating a contemporary and innovative approach to the complex development of the coastal territories with elements of public and tourist infrastructure.
The organisers had received 38 projects from 10 countries (Russia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Ukrain, Serbia, Bulgaria, France, Italy, United States, Canada).

Exhibition of the competition projects was presented in the «Baku Business Center» that located in the city center on the main boulevard of the capital. So get acquainted with the results of the competition could not only architects, but also residents of the city.
At the closing ceremony of the festival Organising Committee thanked all the guests and participants of the "Eco-Shore 2016" for the participation in another one dialogue on the theme "Architecture and Water" and invited everyone to participate in the festival in 2017.
